Hi,first off, I apologise for the delay, but I have been really busy over at the ERA guild forums.

This is a Reborn guild for anyone interested in reborning,we have a page about the ERA guild website.

Here we go with step one in the art of reborning.

The beginning.

There are loads of ways to create a beautiful reborn baby doll.

One may work for you,and not the next.

Most of you will learn that it is all trial and error.
I have been making the Berenguer,ashton drake,peterkin,A Juan reborn dolls for the past few years and have learned most of what I know from information supplied by other reborn artists that were willing to share their personal experiences and knowledge and through my own trial and error experiments.

I will describe in detail what "I do", but there will be many other ways and orders to do the same thing -- you will develop your own style and processes.

I will give credit to those that I know created a reborning technique or process when I can, but please don't take offense if you believe that a technique or process was "stolen" from you.I do not know everyone's name that ever inspired me to create my own reborn doll.

The reborning process for me has been a collective effort of many doll artists sharing and helping others to create their own beautiful dolls,and i thought there would be many of you who would love to learn this art.

I strongly advise that you start with the cheaper vinyl baby dolls to practice on,just until you develop your technique,as like I said it is all trail and error,so it is not wise to start with a ashton drake or a limited edition baby doll.
First of all here is an example of before and after of a Carry me berenguer doll.Note that the beautiful reborned baby below is not by me,but another very talented artist,this is just an example of what can be achieved.

I came across the art of reborning a few years ago purely accidentally while looking in the dolls section on Ebay.

I was so fascinated by the reality of the adorable baby dolls,and the price that they would sell for that I done some extensive research in how i could create my own.

With all the information at hand and repeatedly read,I set out to buy the materials needed to create my very own little sweethearts.

My first attempts were disastrous,but over time I was so proud of my art work that i felt confident enough to list some on ebay,and I have received such great feedback from buyers on the dolls i sold.

Since my expertise has increased,i now have a hospital for all the neglected and badly done reborns,were I repair and bring out the hidden potential beauty of every doll.

Future posts on this blog will cover all aspects of the art of reborning.
